Research aim and objectives
Computational Science and Engineering for the development of robust computational methods with high performance computing
Dr. Nguyen-Xuan joined Department of Computational Engineering, Vietnamese-German University as an Associate Professor from April 2014. Prior to this, he held an Associate Professor position at School of Mathematics & Computer Science, University of Science, VNU-HCMC. He also was a Head position of Division of Computational Mechanics, Ton Duc Thang University. He received his B.S. in Dept. Mechanics in the University of Science, M.Sc. in Modelisation of Continuum and Ph.D in Computational Mechanics from University of Liege (Belgium). He was a Post Doctoral Fellowship at National University of Singapore (NUS), a Visiting Researcher at Bauhaus-University Weimar (Germany), a Research Scholar at University of Cincinnati (USA) and a Visiting Professor of Cardiff University (UK). Dr. Nguyen is holding a Visiting Professor position in Sejong University (Korea). His research is focused on Computational Science and Engineering for the development of robust computational methods with high performance computing. He has authored more than 80 peer-reviewed papers (with ISI) and over 50 refereed conference proceedings papers in computational mechanics, computational methods and some relevant areas.
