Biography
I am interested in the areas of computational solid mechanics. Specifically, I focus on efficient numerical methods to solve numerically multi-scale and multi-physics problems, and optimization methods to deal with design/inverse problems in engineering and science. I am particularly interested in the development of
- Reduced Order Modeling methods such as the Reduced Basis (RB) Method, Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD), Proper Generalized Decomposition (PGD),
- Multiscale finite element methods like FEM, Extended Finite Element Method (XFEM), Generalized Finite Element Method (GFEM),
- Error estimation and goal-oriented error estimation using ROM,
- Inverse problems.
