Biography

I am Pattabhi Ramaiah Budarapu, currently a post-doctoral fellow at Institute of Advanced Studies (IMT), Lucca, Italy http://www.imtlucca.it/.  I am currently associated with Prof. Marco Paggi's http://www.imtlucca.it/marco.paggi group working on simulating the crack growth in Silicon for photo-voltaic applications under the ERC project "Multiscale and multiphysics computational approach to design and durability of photovoltaic modules (CA2PVM)". My major objective is to develop the 3D adaptive multiscale methods to simulate the fracture in Silicon. I am graduated from the Bauhaus University of Weimar, Germany in 2015. My PhD thesis title is "Adaptive multiscale methods for fracture". I completed my Masters from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India in 2003. I am associated at various levels with Bharath Heavy Electrials Limited (BHEL), Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and General Electric companies during 2003-2010.
